Happy fifth birthday to the Amateur Gourmet

While I was recovering from having my wisdom teeth yanked out of my mouth I stopped reading food blogs. I learned my lesson from the first time I couldn’t eat solid food (a bike accident) and decided to read Kitchen Confidential. All of that talk about grilling steak and preparing food drove me batty. So this time around I decided to stay away from Smitten Kitchen, the Kitchn Beer for My Horses film The Mutant Chronicles The Devil’s Rejects release and all those other food blogs that I love so much.
Turns out that I missed the fifth anniversary

of one of my favourite blogs, the Amateur Gourmet. Adam Roberts, who runs the AG, gave up a career as a lawyer to become a writer and found himself starting up his blog five years ago. The blog is accessible for even the most novice of cooks (e.g. Me!) and shows off his general joie de vivre and willingness to tackle almost anything food related.
So happy birthday Mr. Roberts. Keep on cooking!
