I must be a journalist!
Yes. Inspired by the comedic genius of Stuff White People Like is Stuff Journalists Like
. It’s not nearly as biting as SWPL
House of Usher , and probably won’t take off in the same way. But seeing how us journos just seem to be facing tons of bad news lately a little comic relief is in order.
So what are some of the things we like?
Free crap (not just free food!), those thin little ‘reporter’s notebooks’, dating each other, drinking, and writing standing up
(preferably while drunk and making a pass at our attractive co-workers) The last entry has this rather disturbing and all-too-true observation:
With budget cuts and smaller staffs in the industry, some journalists are also required to take photos, record video, update the web, blog and Twitter while standing and taking notes.
