Salon’s sexiest living men, 2007 edition. Hong Kong actor Tony Leung (who I’ve absolutely adored in about half-a-dozen films) and 25 other men (Owen Wilson! Ira Glass!) that you ladies (and men of the gay persuasion) will apparently love.

Also, I agree with their top choice. Jon Hamm’s portrayal of Don Draper in Mad Men makes that show a bit of appointment TV for me, that and the pitch perfect wardrobe and props. Also, I think leaving Sendhil Ramamurthy (Heroes‘ Dr. Suresh) off the list is a bit of an oversight.

So what happens when one man, a black man at that, tries to take on the Chicago Democratic machine? This week’s episode of TAL, which profiled the tragically short mayoral reign of Harold Washington, was one of my favourites in the last little while.

Washington opened the door for black politicians (a certain guy named Obama looked up to him) but made Chicago a much better place.
